22/10/2018 by IVM Podcasts
While Trump is being a bit of an arse trying to alienate everyone, China is busy making friends. Specifically, it’s going out and building ports and roads and stuff everywhere. How nice of them! The best thing about this episode was how broad it was – bringing a lot of projects, some of which I’d forgotten, back to attention.
Side Note: I had once had dinner at a Chinese built hotel / restaurant in the Ghanaian rainforest. This episode made me remember that.
If the topic is your jam, Bloomberg Opinion has been where I’ve found much deeper analysis of Belt and Road.
Related to that, I’ve sometimes mentioned that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor will be where the irresistable force of Chinese determination will meet the immovable object of Pakistani corruption. And I will watch its future progress with considerable interest.
