Watch Date: sometime in late November
I didn’t dislike the premise as much as other reviewers across the Internet seem to have done. I thought that a break from the usual adventuring / a flip of perspective seemed quite nice (though maybe that’s a function of binge watching rather than one-a-week watching). But that’s the best I can say about it. The monster is so obvious to the viewers that I felt exasperated at the LINDA members not realising it earlier; the special effects are cringey, and Rose Tyler in family avenging angel mode is unbelievable.
All in all, this continues with the theme of lazy writing, especially lazy monster writing, that’s been present all season.
