Berkowitz defends the liberal project of individual rights and liberty and argues that critics of Locke mischaracterize his thought. The conversation closes with an evaluation of the Enlightenment.

Meh. Nothing very new or special in this episode. I realised only towards the end that this was a sort of response to the episodes with Patrick Deneen and Yoram Hazony who had made a defense for conservatism or nationalism. I found those episodes unpersuasive, but this episode even more wishy washy.
