  • The one interesting thing which this episode had was a bit – I can’t remember exactly what now – which talked about how some audience members just want a satisfying ending which gives closure; but some others are happier with an ambiguous ending. Ambiguous everything, actually. It made me wonder if life has become better for ambiguous endings and their fans after the internet, where you can go on to a discussion board and discuss your theories about the ambiguity.
  • Which also reminded me of my old thought about “Is there a spectrum of art and literature so that you can have, eg, stuff which is trying to make a point about racism but the execution is so poor that it ends up being racist? And how should you react to that sort of category?”
  • And then I wondered “How much is the internet and how much is growing older.”
  • But then it isn’t just growing older, it’s also growing more widespread in what literature and art you take up, and how much of that would be possible without the Internet?
