  • This reflects what I read in Johann Hari’s piece from way back when, with a little further nuance of defining addiction as what you use to fill in the wounds of trauma, or the absence of feeling wanted, or defined.
  • Dr Yusuf Merchant sounded wonderfully grumpy and irascible, shading into bhaand uncle. What is there.
  • Oh, so it’s called cold turkey because you get goosebumps! TWIL.
  • But really, I just didn’t get the point of his cold turkey story. What exactly was he trying to say, that the guy felt that being cold turkey gave him an identity as an addict? Seems a bit of a leap to conclusions.
